The Face of Evil
A SERIES OF IMAGES REFLECTING VARIOUS NOTIONS OF EVIL

PHOTO: THE NEW REPUBLIC

The image at left is a photo of the "Holocaust Void" in David Liebeskind's new Jewish Museum in Berlin.  The towering 90-foot chamber is concrete, empty, dimly lit and trapezoidal.  It is controlled, but at the same time seems irrational. The room offers no refuge.  It seems coolly indifferent to the world.  This image comes closest to presenting the face of evil that will be explored in this website.
