This one's an interesting prospect.  This wealthy planter was the Constitutional Convention's most eloquent critic of slavery.  He argued that "Every master of slaves is born a petty tyrant.  They bring the judgement of heaven on a country."  In part because the Constitution protected slavery, this man was one of sixteen delegates who refused to sign it.

A man of principle!
