UMKC School of Law graduates had the highest bar passage rate in the State
with first-time takers from UMKC
passing at a rate of 98.31 percent on the July 2009 exam. In terms of overall pass rate
on the July 2009 exam, UMKC takers also were highest in the State with
a passage rate of 96.7 percent for all first-time and repeat takers. The average for all takers of the Missouri
bar statewide on the July 2009 exam was 90.7 percent. Our
Supplemental Bar Pass Program, led by Professor Wanda Temm,
works – over 99% of those who participated in the program passed the Missouri and Kansas bars.
This outstanding performance reflects not only the hard work and competence of
our recent graduates and the incredible work of our Bar Pass team, but the
overall culture of support at the School. Congratulations to everyone who helped
in this effort and made this great success possible.
